Caitlin Martin has been apart of Earth Girls since the grand opening in February of 2015. She is a graduate of Fort Lewis College with a degree in Public Health and a focus in Psychosocial Relations. Her passions revolve around holistic nutrition and wellness for all ages. Within the near future she will be pursuing a masters in nutrition therapy and wellness coaching. At Earth Girls, Caitlin enjoys everything from making salads, sides, and desserts (avocado mint chocolate mousse!!). She really loves educating customers about the health benefits of the food at Earth Girls and getting them excited to start or continue their journey into leading a healthy, and full life! Some of Caitlin's favorite things are trail running with her boyfriend and dog, hiking, road biking, backpacking, or anything outdoors. She also loves cooking at home and trying new recipes with her skills and knowledge she acquired from the Earth Girls kitchen. One of Caitlin's favorite quotes is:
"Just like the lotus we too have the ability to rise from the mud, bloom out of the darkness, and radiate into the world." ~Author Unknown |
Erin |
Erin joined Earth Girls in May of 2015 after studying psychology at Fort Lewis College. She was drawn to Earth Girls upon realizing that their core values reflect her own: eating and living in a way that is healthy, conscious, and nourishing to the body and mind. She immediately became known as the “muffin queen” in the kitchen but has since expanded her skill set towards creating each menu item from scratch and with love! When she is not at Earth Girls, Erin enjoys fueling her passion for fitness and nutrition, experimenting in her own kitchen, reading, and spending time outdoors and with her boyfriend. In the future, Erin hopes to expand her knowledge in the field of nutrition, but for now she is perfectly happy creating delicious vegan, organic, gourmet goodies with her lovely Earth Girls sisters!

The greatest passions in my life are traveling, cooking, eating, and laughing...to only name a few. But there's nothing nearer or dearer to my heart than family. I've worked in the food-service industry my entire adult life - over 20 years (sigh) - and have found that my life experiences, my passions, and my heart have lead me to a life path of wanting nothing more than to entertain, feed, and take care of people. "They" say, "Home is where the heart is." "They" also say, "The way to the heart is through the stomach." I can't be more thrilled and grateful than to be finally putting all of my experience to use by finding a home and becoming part of the Earth Girls family.

Natalie |
Natalie Mogerman's hometown is Ann Arbor, MI and she received her bachelor's degree from Ohio Wesleyan University where she studied environmental studies and psychology. Natalie moved to Colorado four years ago to work on top of Mt Evans for the Forest Service and discovered her passion for backpacking. However, during the off seasons she found another love: vegan cooking. She worked for a small health food store in Frisco, Whole Foods on Pearl Street, and Julia's Kitchen in Boulder while learning to climb. The Earth Girls invited Natalie into the kitchen and the community last October. She loves to create the vegan mac and "not cheese" as well as the deserts-especially the grasshopper cheesecake. Natalie feels most alive while in the wilderness with close friends and got to backpack across half of Colorado on the CDT; she hopes to complete the Northern half in segments while working as a Wilderness Ranger this summer for the USFS.

Hello! I’m originally from Alaska, this is my second year here in Durango. In my free time I can usually be found playing outside, looking for cool rocks, reading books, saying hello to dogs, playing cards, drinking lots of tea, or experimenting with food in the kitchen. Although my previous work experience has mainly been food service, my experience here at Earth Girls has definitely been unique. I originally joined the Earth Girls team because I wanted to support a local business that offers healthy vegan food, but after joining I realized that this place has so much more to offer. Aside from offering healthy and delicious foods, Earth Girls also fosters a positive environment and genuinely cares about its customers and employees. I am so grateful to be part of a team of positive, caring, and hardworking individuals. One of my favorite things about being an Earth Girl is that I can serve food with a clean conscious, because I know for a fact that all of our food is clean, healthy, and made with care. In my own life, I take great care in ensuring that the ingredients I use are friendly both to the earth and my body, and hope to encourage others to do the same. By working here, I have the opportunity to actively support my belief that what we choose to consume can make a positive impact on our lives.
